Our beliefs

About the Bible

The Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God. It is the only authority by which we live and is
the foundation for what we believe. It will judge us on that great judgement day. (I Peter 2:20-21;
II Timothy 3:15-16; II Corinthians 5:10; Revelation 20:11-15)

About God and jesus

There is only One God. That One God revealed Himself as our Father, in Jesus Christ and through
the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh living an authentic human life. He felt the
same emotions, faced the same temptations, dealt with the same issues that humanity does, yet
remained sinless. All the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily in Jesus Christ. (Deuteronomy 6:4;
Hebrews 4:15; I Timothy 3:16; Colossians 2:9)

About Sin

We are all fallen from grace and in need of salvation. Sin is upon us from our beginning. Without
salvation our lives are ruled by sin. (Romans 3:23; Psalm 51:5; John 8:34)

About salvation

God came to earth to redeem us. By the shed blood of that perfect lamb, Jesus Christ, we can
come back into right relationship and communion with Him. Salvation is a gift and available to all.
We must be born of the water and of the Spirit. Peter reveals the universal New Birth plan of
salvation. (Romans 3:24-25; Ephesians 2:8; John 3:1-5; Acts 2:38-39)

About the Gospel

The Gospel is the good news of the purpose of the life of Jesus Christ. The Gospel is the story of
His death, burial, and resurrection. Our salvation comes through our believing and obeying the
Gospel when we apply it through repentance for our sins (death to sin), being baptized in the
Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of our sins (burial) and being filled with His Spirit
(resurrection) with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues. This pattern is seen
throughout the Book of Acts by which the New Birth conversion takes place. (I Corinthians 15:1-4;
I Peter 4:17; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Acts 8:9-17; Acts 10; Acts 19:1-7)

About the return of jesus christ

Jesus Christ will return for His Bride, the Church. At the end of time, there will be a final
resurrection and final judgment. Those who are righteous and have their names written in the
Lamb’s Book of Life shall inherit eternal life and abide in Heaven with Jesus Christ. The unrighteous
shall receive eternal death, and shall be cast into the lake of fire. (John 14:1-3; Revelation 19:6-9;
I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11-15)

About being christ-like

As Christians we are to love God and love others. We are to worship God joyfully and seek to live a life that
is pleasing to him both inwardly and outwardly—in our thoughts, words, and actions. We are empowered to
live a life pleasing to God through the Holy Spirit. As a Pentecostal church, we believe that the supernatural
gifts of the Spirit are at work in and for the church today and are available to all Spirit-filled believers (Mark
12.28-31; 1 Cor 12.8-10; 2 Cor 7.1; Rom 8.13-14; Gal 5.19-26; Heb 12.14).
