Pastor Jonathan and Christy Lucas are the founding pastor of The Sanctuary of Kingman. They have been involved in ministry their entire lives. Pastor Lucas grew up in his father’s church in Vandalia, Illinois, and began singing and playing the drums in church at an early age. He gave his first sermon at eight years of age. Sister Lucas traveled and sang with her parents as part of the The Gunns while her parents, Terry and Julia Gunn, were Music Directors for Christian Life Church in Stockton, California, working with Pastor Kenneth Haney.

Both have a passion for building the Kingdom of God and seeing lives changed through the working of the Holy Spirit. They have held various ministry positions in North Carolina, Illinois, Missouri, and Arizona. They, along with their daughters McKenzie and JoLeigh, traveled ministering in churches across the United States prior to making Arizona their home.
